![]() JIM DAWEB.A.(Hons)(Psychology), Dip. Psychotherapy, UKCP accredited Phone: 07947 791835 I am a psychotherapist working in private practise in London with consulting rooms in Putney and Paddington. I also do one-to-one telephone sessions where appropriate and in exceptional circumstances can arrange home visits. I work in an integregrative way which means that I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic styles and theories depending on the client and their needs. I value the client/therapist relationship very highly, seeing it as crucial to change and healing, and I believe that I can provide a safe, receptive and reassuring environment for any client. My training includes a psychology degree and a five-year post-graduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy from the CCPE in London. This has led my philosophy to include the ideas that: a) personal crises and difficulties can be seen as useful signposts indicating directions in which we may evolve and develop, b) therapy is based on the principle of identifying, acknowledging and developing a person's strengths or qualities. I worked at The Priory Hospital in Roehampton from 2001-2007 in a number of different units, and consequently feel my areas of specialisation include: - Addictions and dependencies including alcohol, drugs, gambling, food disorders, and sex. - Depression. - Self-esteem and self-confidence issues. - Family and relationship issues. - Bereavement, trauma, anxiety and stress. I have however, worked with many other issues and a huge range of clients in the last ten years, and believe that I can help you gain a different perspective on your reason for seeking therapy whatever it may be. If you would like any further information or to arrange an initial consultation, please call me on 07947 791835. |
